Landscaping
There's no standard, off the shelf solution when it comes to the design of a landscape. Blocks of land are different and present different opportunities and challenges. People's tastes are different. The process Edge goes through is firstly consultative, getting to know the people and the property. A design solution is sketched and agreed focussing on the hard landscaping; the edges and borders. Once construction is complete there's 2 options: 1/ take over the soft landscaping and planting yourself, 2/ continue working with Edge on a planting plan for each of the spaces.

Carpentry
Carpentry is the fundamental discipline underlying the development of a bespoke landscape solution. Knowing which situations are best for which shape, size or type of timber; the best application for the material, whether it's rough sawn timber, brand new sleepers or distressed and reclaimed timbers. A successful build is one that looks and feels like it belongs in the environment and enables the owners to experience more of their outside areas. It may be the transition between spaces or the spaces themselves. The hard edges are what make it organised and inviting.

At the end of the day anything can be made out of everything; it all starts with an idea. If you're thinking about a custom, unique piece of furniture, a natural edge feature or a piece of art for your home or garden, get in touch and we'll start the process. Ideas can come from many different places. It may be an incredible slab of timber with the potential to become something functional and useful or something sculptural.
